Abstract

In this paper the authors’ own experience in the evaluation of informativeness of lipocalin (NGAL) determination in a single urine sample for diagnostic and prognostic significance of acute kidney injury (AKI) has been analyzed. The studies were performed in 19 patients at three hospitals in Kiev. More informativeness of lipocalin content in urine to predict the development of the AKI and the diagnosis of its presence has been shown.
