Endothelial dysfunction in the pathogenesis of diabetic kidney disease

The article deals with the integrated characteristics of hyperglycemia role in the pathogenesis of vascular complications of diabetes mellitus. The article analyzes the modern data on the mechanisms of development and progression of diabetic kidney disease. The paper considers the specificity of the structure and damage of the endothelium and the basal membrane in the capillaries of the kidney glomeruli and the role of endothelial dysfunction in the pathogenesis of diabetic kidney disease is evaluated. Literature was searched for the databases Scopus, PubMed, MedLine and CyberLeninka.Downloads
